Boldt Delivers 135 Thanks, One Nonprofit At A Time

Boldt Contributes $67,500 to 501(c)(3) organizations nationwide

In celebration of The Boldt Company’s 135th anniversary in 2024, Boldt selected 135 employees across the company to give $500 each to the nonprofit of their choice. The exercise in gratitude, the 135 Thanks Campaign, provided $67,500 to nonprofits in Boldt’s 18 locations nationwide.

From June through September, randomly-chosen employees selected 501(c)(3) organizations close to their hearts to receive $500 donations. Beneficiaries included veterans’ groups, homeless shelters, food pantries, animal rescues, cultural groups and many more nonprofits.

In the Fox Cities, Amanda Welsh, Talent Acquisition Specialist, selected The Monthlies Project as the recipient of her $500 check. The Monthlies is a nonprofit organization that supports women with a focus on providing menstrual products to school-aged students who lack access, distributing products via homeless shelters, schools and other venues.

“I’m fond of the Monthlies Project because they think outside the box and address period poverty through education and advocacy,” said Welsh.

Dave Kievet, President and CEO of The Boldt Group, considers the 135 Thanks Campaign an extraordinary success in commemorating the organization’s 135th anniversary by making employee-driven community impact.

“135 Thanks was about expressing gratitude for our employees and the communities that have supported Boldt throughout its 135 years in business,” said Kievet. “Employees supported their favorite nonprofit neighbors, and nonprofits received funding to fulfill their missions. What a meaningful way to commemorate our longevity.”
