member marketing checklist 01

A common question we get at the Chamber is, “How can you help promote my business?” No matter what industry or size of your business is, we have several options that can fit your needs:

NEWS RELEASES: The first and simplest thing you can do is to send us your news releases. News releases are a great way to share news from your company and is something you should be doing on a regular basis. Whether it’s staff information (new hires, promotions), company news ( a new product or service), or an upcoming event or celebration, write up a news release and send it to local media. Be sure to include the Chamber in your distribution list: [email protected]

BROCHURES: Do you have a company brochure or other publication? Drop copies off at the Chamber (125 N. Superior St.) and we will put them in our lobby rack, for others to see when they stop by.

BUSINESS DIRECTORY: We have a membership directory on our web site that anyone can access to learn more about a business. We encourage every member to keep their information updated, include pertinent links, and add your logo and photos. Often your Chamber listing will show up in web searches for people trying to find your business, so it’s important to keep this current and robust. You will need to log in to your member portal to do this; learn more here.

PUT YOUR EVENTS ONLINE: Did you know that we have a community calendar where members can post their events at no charge? Check it out here. You will need to log in to your member portal to do this; learn how to do that here. (NOTE: We also have a calendar just for Chamber events; view that here.)

JOB OPENINGS: Members can also post their job openings on our site. It’s a great way to recruit talent that also shows up in online searches. Last year this page had over 17,000 views! This is done through your member portal; learn more here.

NEWSLETTER ADS: Members at the Grow and Lead level receive a free advertising credit each year to be used in our weekly e-newsletter, Fox Cities Week. This publication reaches more than 8,000 members of the business community each week! Additionally, ANYONE can buy paid ads in this publication; learn more here.

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Members at the Grow and Lead level receive a FREE member spotlight each year. Grow level members receive a written spotlight, which is also featured in Fox Cities Week and The Business News; while Lead level (and up) can choose between a written or video spotlight. If you qualify; sign up here.

MILESTONE CELEBRATIONS: Do you have an anniversary, grand opening or product launch? Contact us about a ribbon cutting! These are free to all paying Chamber members (Connect Free members pay a fee). Not only will we be there to celebrate with you, we will promote the event in our marketing channels. Visit here for details and to request your ribbon cutting.
