The Ambassadors are a dedicated group of business volunteers who serve as the public relations arm for the Chamber. They attend Chamber events, ribbon cuttings, member events and contact members on a regular basis. We are seeking community-focused individuals to join the Octoberfest Committee! Serving on the Appleton’s Octoberfest Committee is an extraordinary opportunity for individuals who are passionate about strengthening the community. The committee comprises individuals who provide leadership-level support for volunteers, marketing/website/social media, trash and recycling, entertainment, Family Fun Area, and nonprofit food vendors. Appleton’s Octoberfest, an event of the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce, is a community-driven event. Each nonprofit booth that sells food at the event uses the profits to support their community projects. The event is planned by a volunteer committee and overseen by chamber staff. Positions include bus chaperones, registration area volunteers, escalator monitors, landing zone monitors, vendor assistance and lunch delivery, media assistance, and more. This group of talented young professionals work to maintain and elevate the mission alignment of Pulse’s various initiatives, programs and events throughout the year. Responsibilities are varying and cyclical, but often include event planning, membership retention and attraction, community outreach, the identification of influential local speakers, artists and musicians, program recommendations, ideation sessions and volunteer recruitment.
