The state Senate Republicans and Assembly Republicans have made their leadership elections. These are mostly the same as last session except Senator Felzkowski is now the Senate President instead of Senator Kapenga and Senator Cabral Guevara will be replacing Joan Ballweg who did not get re-elected.
State Senate Republicans:

- Senate Assistant Majority Leader – Dan Feyen
- Senate President Pro Tempore – Patrick Testin
- Senate Republican Caucus Char – Van Wanggaard
- Senate Republican Caucus Vice-Chair Rachel Cabral-Guevara
State Assembly Republicans:
- Speaker – Robin Vos
- Majority Leader – Tyler August
- Assistant Majority Leader – Scott Krug
- Speaker Pro Tempore – Kevin Peterson
- Caucus Chair – Rob Summerfield
- Caucus Vice-Chair – Cindy Duchow
- Caucus Sgt-at-Arms – Treig Pronschinske
- Caucus Secretary – Nancy VanderMeer
The Assembly Dems will be meeting to elect their leadership next Tuesday. The Senate Dems held their election yesterday, too. They are also mostly the same except Sen. Spreitzer moved up to Caucus Chair, replacing Sen. Larson, and Sen. Drake is now Caucus Vice Chair. Below is who was elected:
State Senate Dems:
- Minority Leader – Dianne Hesselbein
- Assistant Minority Leader – Jeff Smith
- Caucus Chair – Mark Spreitzer
- Caucus Vice-Chair – Dora Drake
As for Congress- the control of the House is still outstanding but Republicans are just 3 seats away from winning the majority so it is very likely Republicans will have complete control.
