OSMS Adds Two Rheumatologists and One Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Physician to Meet Patient Demand

Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists (OSMS), a doctor-owned orthopedic, sports medicine, rheumatology, and pain management practice, added two Rheumatologists and one Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Physician to join its team in Neenah and Oshkosh. With these additions, OSMS now has two non-operative sports medicine physicians and nine rheumatologists, making it the largest rheumatology clinic in the state of Wisconsin.

Garcia Vertical Medium

Non-surgical Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Physician, Dr. Alex Garcia, received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minesota, and obtained his sports medicine fellowship at Mercy Health System in Janesville, Wisconsin. Seeing patients of all ages, Dr. Garcia treats the full spectrum of musculoskeletal pain including chronic conditions that affect our aging population such as arthritis, tendonitis, myalgia, neck and lower back pain. He also treats acute injuries like sprains, strains, fractures and concussions. Dr. Garcia performs the most advanced non-surgical procedures to treat joint pain including ultrasound-guided injections, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, tenotomies, peripheral nerve hydrodissections and nerve blocks. Dr. Garcia sees and treats patients in Neenah.

Gowing Vertical Medium

Board Certified in both rheumatology and internal medicine, Rheumatologist Dr. Eric Gowing, received his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and completed his medical residency and fellowship at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Dr. Gowing sees and treats a wide range of rheumatologic conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, Sjogren’s syndrome, fibromyalgia, gout, osteoarthritis and takes a special interest in osteoporosis.

Perry Vertical Medium

Board Certified Rheumatologist, Dr. Elzbieta Perry, received her medical degree from the Medical Academy of Warsaw in Poland. After medical school, Dr. Perry completed her residency in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Aurora Healthcare and then obtained her fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals & Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Perry sees and treats a wide range of rheumatologic conditions with the most frequent conditions being rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, and osteoporosis. Other conditions include Sjogren’s syndrome, scleroderma and gout, among others.
