The Bay-Lakes Council is excited to announce the 2023 Scouting for Food Drive! Scouts of all ages from the Bay-Lakes Council will distribute door hangers with food drive details on Saturday, April 15th and return to collect bags of food beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22nd.
The Scouts in the Bay-Lakes Council are working closely with more than 100 local food pantries in Eastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan that will benefit from the food donations. These pantries depend on the drive to stock shelves and continue serving those in need. Suggested items include – Proteins – nuts, peanut butter, seafood & poultry; Fruit – dried or packed in juice; Soups – low sodium, if possible; Whole Grains – Pasta, rice, and cereal; and Canned Vegetables of all kinds. Please – nothing perishable, frozen, or in glass containers.
The Scouts are looking forward to participating in this annual event once again! The success of this event is due in large part to the generosity of our families and community members. By donating, you will help change lives within your own community.
Donating is safe and easy! Simply fill a bag with non-perishable food items and put it on your doorstep by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday/April 22nd for the Scouts to collect.
Thanks to our wonderful sponsors, WLUK-TV FOX 11, and Festival Foods.
