Remote workers living in the Fox Cities have a new opportunity to connect with other professionals, build relationships, stay engaged in the business community, and get more involved.

On National Remote Employee Appreciation Day (September 22) the Fox Cities Chamber announced a new Remote Worker membership for any locals who are working with companies not located in the Fox Cities region but still want the Chamber connection. The Remote Worker membership level includes the following:

  • Opportunity to attend Chamber networking programs and events
  • Subscription to their Fox Cities Week newsletter
  • Listing in the Chamber’s online member directory
  • Notary services and verification stamping on certificates of origin
  • Discounted training for FVTC programs
  • Complimentary subscription to The Business News
  • Opportunity to attend educational programming, seminars, and webinars
  • Use of Chamber meeting room

This is an individual membership available only to remote workers whose companies are based outside of the Chamber footprint, which includes Outagamie County, Calumet County, and northern Winnebago County.

According to Chamber President & CEO Becky Bartoszek, it’s a great opportunity for remote employees to network, get engaged, socialize, and develop professionally. “Our goal at the Chamber is to continue to create a space that serves all employees and provides access. This new remote membership level fills a gap for those locals who work in the Fox Cities but don’t have a physical office space, offering networking, socializing, and connection opportunities for them. It also helps retain people living in our great community and creates a sense of belonging.”

Upwork, a freelancing platform, estimates that by 2025 an estimated 32.6 million Americans will be working remotely, which equates to about 22% of the workforce. “We want to embrace this growing segment of workers to ensure they stay engaged and stay in the Fox Cities,” added Bartoszek.

Cost to join at the Remote Worker level is $175. To join online, visit https://foxcitieschamber.com/become-a-member/
