Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce recognizes employers who demonstrate a significant commitment to promoting work/life integration for their employees
Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. has been certified as a 2023 Gold-level Employee Friendly Workplace in the Fox Cities by the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce. This certification recognizes employers who demonstrate a significant commitment to promoting work/life integration by creating a positive work environment and experience for all employees.
Gold-certified employers go above and beyond, offering benefits and policies that promote work/life integration and strive to meet diverse needs of employees.
Hoffman celebrated 130 years of tradition in 2022; an achievement made possible through the dedication of its employees. “As a firm that provides professional services, our greatest asset is our team members,” said Sam Statz, Hoffman president and owner. “From the culture we’ve cultivated to the benefits and perks we offer, a top priority for years has always been to take care of our employees; the people that take care of our clients.”
Hoffman has developed numerous employee-centered programs, policies, and benefits to attract and retain talent at the Appleton-based design and construction firm. at those who have been with us for five or more years. Our two-longest tenured employees will be celebrating 30 and 31 years with Hoffman this fall, and last December we had a team member retire after 34 years. We’re extremely proud of the culture we’ve created with and for our employees.”
The mission of the Fox Cities Employee Friendly Workplace Initiative is to encourage the adoption of more employee friendly workplace practices and policies in order to enhance work/life balance and successfully attract and retain the best employees to the region.
“Hoffman is extremely proud to have earned Gold certification as an Employee Friendly Workplace from the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce,” said Statz. “We have recently added to our staff, and I know this honor will greatly enhance our efforts to bring on top talent further in 2023 and beyond.”
To date the Chamber has certified 17 other companies as being employee friendly. Eric Broten, Director of Economic Development at the Chamber, explained how the certification works: “We rate employers in four major categories: Paid Leave and Flexible Work Schedules, Health and Wellness Support, Financial Support and Perks. Employers are then given a score and if qualified, rank as Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum. We are thrilled to add Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. to this prestigious list and add them as our newest Employee Friendly Workplace certified employer!”
Overall, the Chamber’s Employee Friendly Workplace certification encourages policies and practices that foster a supportive work environment to improve employee engagement and encourage employee loyalty. A commitment to employee friendliness creates an environment in the Fox Cities that attracts and retains the best employees for the region.
