On Saturday, April 20, the Fox Cities Chamber will host the 2024 National Civics Bee® aimed at encouraging more young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Seventeen middle-school students from across eastern Wisconsin will participate in the competition to demonstrate their civics knowledge and discuss how they would solve a problem facing their community. Finalists will be invited to Washington D.C. to compete in the inaugural National Civics Bee national championship in Fall 2024.
The local, live event will be held on April 20 from 9:30 – 11 a.m. at Lawrence University’s Memorial Chapel, 510 E. College Avenue in Appleton. The public is invited to attend.
