Management Transition: Chamber seeks President/CEO
In April, Bill Welch, Chamber president and CEO, announced that he will retire as of January 1, 2011. A search committee comprised of past Board Chairman and chaired by Joyce Bytof (Coldwell Banker the Real Estate Group) and Leon Church (Sweetwood Builders) have recently finalized the job description for interested candidates to review. Chamber Honors Small Business Award Recipients
Each year the Fox Cities Chamber honors several member firms as recipients of the Small Business of the Year Awards. The sponsors of this year's awards include First National Bank - Fox Valley and Schenck S.C. in conjunction with the Post Crescent and WHBY 1150 AM.

Chamber assists businesses understand impacts of healthcare legislation
The timeline for the new healthcare legislation, passed by Congress and signed into law last month, sees some reforms go into effect soon but most in 2014 or later. The various government agencies, particularly the Department of Health and Human Services and Internal Revenue Service, will be working over the next several years on drafting the regulations necessary to implement the new laws, and it will be through this process that the Chamber will work to change and improve the regulations to help businesses.
