Public Policy

Public policy advocacy is paramount to the success of our community and the Chamber. We are here to assist businesses of all sizes in dealing with government – from state and federal legislative issues to assistance at the local level. Our goal is to create a strong voice for the business community while improving, enhancing, and strengthening the economy. We are committed to being your eyes and ears – and, when needed, a non-partisan voice for the business community. We accomplish this through:

  • Advocacy on business-related issues at the local, state and federal levels
  • Connections and relationships with policy makers
  • Timely information and education for Chamber members
  • Equipping members for effective involvement and influence

Meet the Chamber's advocacy partner

The Fox Cities Chamber continually works to advance the interests of not just our members, but the community as a whole. Advocacy is a key part of those efforts, as we strive to actively engage with state policymakers and voice the concerns and needs of our business community. That’s why the Chamber partners with consultant Jim Steineke to assist with our advocacy efforts.

Jim provides regular updates for members as to what is happening in the state legislature and how that relates to the business community. He is also available to answer questions individual members may have as to specific legislation that is being introduced.

Legislative Luncheon

Each quarter we hold a luncheon that allows Chamber members and their employees the opportunity to establish relationships with key decision makers and voice opinions on issues moving forward in Wisconsin that impact businesses locally. Networking and facilitated question-and-answer sessions offer firsthand information on upcoming legislation and House and Senate committee activities, prompting great dialogue between legislators and Chamber members.
