Background:

In 2024, the Fox Cities Chamber celebrated its 150th anniversary—a milestone that recognized not only our history, but the businesses and members who have shaped our success. Our goal was to create a year-long campaign that:

  • Engaged the business community in meaningful celebration while honoring the support of our members and their role in driving economic growth.
  • Shared the story of who we are and what we do. Through in-depth historical research, we uncovered that the same mission that led to our founding in 1874 continues to guide us today: uniting the interests of area businesses for greater growth and economic impact.
  • Recognized fellow members also celebrating milestone anniversaries in 2024, reinforcing the strength of our collective success.


Rather than a single event, our efforts were all year round, designed to keep the Chamber top of mind for our members and the community. We aimed to generate excitement, enhance visibility, and create lasting momentum—not just for our sesquicentennial year but for the long term. We also had to do it on a modest budget, selling sponsorships to offset costs as well as bring in non-dues revenue.

Tactics:

We implemented a multi-media campaign for our 150th, using creative outlets and partnerships.
