Duo brings strong backgrounds in accounting, H.R. to economic-development organization
Regional leaders Chris Handrick of CLA and Kelly Hurt of Froedtert ThedaCare Health have been named to the board of directors of New North Inc., the regional economic development corporation for the 18 counties of Northeast Wisconsin. Advanced by New North’s board development committee and subsequently approved by the full board, their board terms began on Jan. 1.
In addition to joining the New North board, Handrick will become the organization’s treasurer as a member of the executive committee. He replaces Ken Zacharias, who retired from CLA and served in this New North role over the past six years.
“The New North board will benefit greatly from the strong background that Chris and Kelly bring in accounting and human resources, respectively,” says Barb LaMue, president and CEO of New North Inc. “Chris has had a long career as a CPA in the region, and Kelly’s H.R. expertise will be a huge asset in our talent-development initiatives and the creation of a region-wide health care alliance.”
