Red Shoes Inc. expands business development, public relations and social media teams

Expansion allows for more support in client services

Red Shoes Inc., an award-winning, Wisconsin-based, full-service strategic communication firm is excited to announce the hires of Pam Henson as a business strategist, Jennifer Thurlow as media coordinator and Reagan Fritts as an account assistant. These new additions will help expand Red Shoes’ strategic communication offerings to its clients nationwide.

In her role as a business strategist, Henson will lead efforts in business development and digital advertising strategy as well as provide business strategy and organizational culture consulting for Red Shoes’ clients. Over her career, Henson has worked with companies – both small and large – and provided leadership for teams of diverse backgrounds.

Henson is a powerhouse media veteran with 30 years of experience in news and multimedia advertising. With a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern California and an impressive career spanning markets throughout the nation, she has immense knowledge about publishing as well as top-tier connections at numerous leading publications such as The Baltimore Sun, Denver Post/Rocky Mountain News, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Gannett Wisconsin, Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times.

As media coordinator at Red Shoes, Thurlow provides public relations support for clients nationwide. In this role, Thurlow builds close relationships with local and national media outlets, writes and distributes client press materials, provides media training and advises clients on how to maximize their communications with local, trade and national media.

Prior to working at Red Shoes, Thurlow was the public relations specialist at NewTek in San Antonio, where she increased media placement by 50 percent in just six months and helped the company win three distinguished industry awards. Additionally, in a previous role as the PR analyst at Huron Consulting Group in Chicago, Thurlow supported public relations and investor relations and handled communications for acquisitions, litigation matters and quarterly earnings. Thurlow has secured placement in local, trade and national publications, including The New York Times, USA Today and WIRED. She received her bachelor’s degree in journalism-strategic communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

In Fritts’ role as an account assistant, she supports client teams by managing social media efforts, visual content design, writing, editing and conducting research to strengthen marketing initiatives. Prior to working at Red Shoes, Fritts was a creative content intern at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh’s Department of Journalism where she designed digital and print advertisements, posters and social media content to reach new students and grow awareness of the department’s offerings. Fritts holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
