Historic Trout Museum to become future Family Resource Center

A press conference announcing the purchase of the historic Trout Museum of Art Building to outline plans for Together for Families: The Fox Valley Family Resource Center will take place at 10:00 am on Thursday August 22, 2024, inside the Trout Museum of Art: 111 W. College Ave. Appleton. Partners, media, and community leaders are invited to attend the press conference.

First 5 Fox Valley Executive Director, Barb Tengesdal, Ph.D. will share long awaited details about the Family Resource Center, the journey to bring Together for Families to downtown Appleton and the launch of a capital campaign.

Planning for the Center has been parent led with numerous and ongoing strategy and listening sessions to guide the creation of a vibrant Family Resource Center that includes a free year- round public play area where families can easily connect with early childhood programs in one location, while creating a sense of belonging for all in a thriving community venture.

First 5 Fox Valley supports and strengthens local communities and families while assuring equitable access to culturally relevant resources that parents want and need.

The Family Resource Center is one more way to serve children, parents, and communities, fulfilling the mission to: Cultivate communities that empower and support every family to build a solid foundation for children in their first five years. Please join the staff and board of directors at this important event for children and families in our community.
