New temporary location offers expanded furniture and brand new home remodeling purchasing options as well as discounted supplies for teachers and artists
Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity, a leader in affordable housing solutions, is excited to announce the opening of a secondary Appleton Habitat ReStore location near the Fox River Mall, located at 4651 W. Michaels Drive in Appleton (map). This temporary second Appleton Habitat ReStore location opens Monday, June 24 and will be open Mondays and Wednesdays each week from 1-5 p.m. The new location will offer shoppers access to unique furniture and design offerings for a limited time this summer.
“The Habitat ReStore has been receiving a lot of donations as well as community interest in gently used bulk-design furniture such as what’s seen in offices and hotels as well as new home construction materials and we needed more space to house the additional merchandise coming in,” explained JD Gildemeister, Appleton Habitat ReStore manager. “We came across a great site for lease and we’re excited to offer even more shopping options to ReStore shoppers.”
This new location will offer ample space for the variety of matching bulk furniture items and new home construction materials donated to Appleton Habitat ReStore by corporations who support the mission of Fox Cities Habitat. Several of the brand-new home remodeling items include:
- Windows
- Doors
- Cabinetry
- Electrical
- Many other home remodeling items
Additionally, for schoolteachers and artists, Fox Cities Habitat ReStore also has received a large donation of school supplies, art supplies and children’s games and activities. Those interested are asked to stop by either of the two Appleton ReStore locations and inquire with JD Gildemeister.
In addition to visiting the new ReStore location, shoppers can browse what is available in both Appleton Habitat ReStores online by visiting appletonrestore.org. When a customer finds an item they want to purchase, they can reserve it and it will be held for them at the designated ReStore location. Some common items often offered at the Appleton Habitat ReStore include:
- Couches, tables, dressers and other furniture
- Flooring (tile, vinyl, and carpeting)
- Building materials and tools
- Windows and doors
- Paint and paint supplies
- Refrigerators, freezers and ovens
- Cabinets, countertops, vanities, toilets, sinks and fixtures
