Appleton’s vibrant music scene has a brand-new event designed to attract visitors in celebration of songwriting and storytelling while football fans from near and far are in the area for the Draft. On Wednesday, April 23, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., music lovers will have the opportunity to curate their own experience by selecting the artists and performances they’d like to see at any of the six venues in Downtown Appleton during the first-ever SongWalk.
Presented by Mile of Music, Appleton Downtown, Inc., and the Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau, SongWalk is a free, multi-venue music experience, showcasing talented songwriters from the Fox Cities and beyond.
Six venues, with six unique sounds. Featuring a mix of folk, indie, and acoustic performances at:
- Copper Rock Coffee (210 W. College Avenue) – Fox Cities singer-songwriter, Christopher Gold (7-9 p.m.)
- Gibson Community Music Hall (211 W. College Avenue) – Soultru from Des Moines, IA (7-7:55 p.m.) Nova Scotia sister duo, Cassie and Maggie (8:15-9:30 p.m.)

“It’s exciting to team up with ADI, Mile, the Fox Cities CVB, and some great Downtown venues to give people a taste of what our music scene has grown into—and to share a bit of what makes Downtown Appleton so special with both locals and visitors.” Said Dave Willems, Mile of Music.
