This fall and winter, The Wisconsin Family Business Center (FBC) and Strategic Solutions Consulting/Seefeldt Institute for Family Business will be hosting three new events in Northeast Wisconsin. All events will require advanced registration.
Social and Peer Group Information Event
Join us for this free networking event with local family-owned businesses on October 10 from 4-6 p.m. at Café Aquila in Appleton, WI. When the Family Undermines the Business: Understanding the Fredo Effect
Presented by Dr. Kim Eddleston, this interactive presentation will center on the “Fredo Effect,” which is based on the flawed middle brother from the movie “The Godfather” who became an impediment to the Corleone family business. The program is free to FBC members and sponsors. A $25 per person registration fee is required for non-members. The Psychology of Family Business Succession
Learn about the influence that personalities, power and control issues, and family dynamics can play in succession planning. Identify next steps to creating or advancing your succession plan. Attend the program online or in person on December 12 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region in Appleton, WI. The program is free to attend.
