Tomorrow River School District Places Time Capsule During Facility Renovations

Tomorrow River Time Capsule 1

The Tomorrow River School District took some time last month to mark a moment in time. District leaders, staff, and former students currently working on the facility projects placed a time capsule behind the date stone that was then set within the new District / High School office addition.

“The time capsule is a great opportunity to unite our current staff, students, and community to share with our staff, students, and community of the future,” said Ryan Ruggles, Tomorrow River School District Administrator. “It helps to honor past experiences and also celebrate the exciting future of the District, especially being able to place it in one of our new facilities.”

In April 2022, voters approved the District’s $25.7 million referendum project to renovate and expand existing spaces and add a state-of-the-art, 22,250 square foot STEAM Center. Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. partnered with the District in preparation for the referendum. After the referendum was passed, Hoffman continued their relationship with the District by providing design and construction management services.

Hoffman has already completed the District / High School office addition, the Elementary / Middle School addition, a majority of the interior remodel/renovations, and the STEAM Center. This summer will see the rest of the renovations completed and all new and enhanced spaces will be turned over to the District in time for the start of the 2024-2025 school year.

“The projects are progressing nicely and will be ready for the upcoming school year,” said Matt McGregor, Hoffman director of project management. “The District has been wonderful to collaborate with and we’re anxious for everyone to begin using and enjoying their new and enhanced spaces.”
