At J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue, we are passionate about the welfare of turtles and other aquatic creatures. As Wisconsin’s #1 Exotic Pet Rescue, we take in an average of 180 turtles every year. To honor these noble reptiles and raise awareness about their conservation, we are hosting a special event on World Turtle Day.

Why World Turtle Day? World Turtle Day celebrates the significance of turtles and tortoises in our world and encourages action to protect them. Turtles play a crucial role in various ecosystems, yet many species face threats such as habitat loss and hunting. By coming together on World Turtle Day, we can raise awareness and support efforts to conserve these remarkable creatures.

What to Expect:

Educational Activities: Learn about the differences between turtles and tortoises, their habitats, and conservation efforts.
Meet Our Turtles: Get up close and personal with some of the turtles we have rescued and hear their inspiring stories.
Interviews: John Moyles, Director of J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue, will be available for interviews. He can meet with you in studio, via teleconference, or at our Rescue Center in Neenah. Please contact him directly at 920-419-8839 or [email protected] to schedule.
