The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is underway with a series of road improvement projects in Washington County throughout 2023. This work includes roadway improvements, scheduled bridge maintenance over I-41, and box culvert work. The following closures are scheduled as part of these projects.
Overnight Monday and Tuesday, April 3-4, 2023:
I-41 northbound and southbound is scheduled to close to traffic overnight while crews demolish the Freistadt Road (County F) bridge over I-41 between 9:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m.
I-41 northbound detour:
- Exit at WIS 167 (Lannon/ Mequon Road) and travel west to WIS 175 (Appleton Avenue)
- Travel north on Appleton Avenue to WIS 167 (Holy Hill Road)
- Travel east on Holy Hill Road to I-41 northbound
I-41 southbound detour:
- Exit at WIS 167 (Holy Hill Road) and travel west to WIS 175 (Appleton Avenue)
- Travel south on Appleton Avenue to WIS 167 (Lannon/Mequon Road)
- Travel east on Lannon/Mequon Road to I-41 southbound
Noise and dust will be associated with this work, and steps will be taken to minimize these effects.
