Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists (OSMS) is excited to announce Eric Nygaard as its new Controller and newest member of its Leadership Team. The move will set strong financial processes for OSMS as the company continues to grow within their team of physicians and the services offered to patients.
As a Controller, Nygaard is responsible for overseeing the financial health of OSMS, in which he inspects and manages the company’s budget and financial decisions. Any significant change or investment being made for OSMS is carefully considered by Nygaard to determine if it is an appropriate decision for OSMS and its patients. With a background in accounting, Nygaard understands the analytical pieces behind the pecuniary data, helping him determine any improvements needed to benefit OSMS’ financial performance.
Nygaard explains, “As OSMS develops, we can provide patients with more services in-house, making their treatment processes more streamlined. With this growth, it is our main goal to do this in a way that is economically healthy for both our patients and the organization”.
The decision to add Nygaard to the OSMS Leadership Team was made to allow for more frequent financial updates. The Leadership Team can make operational decisions based on the financial education they are receiving to improve OSMS’ services and its patient experiences. As a physician owned practice, OSMS has the capability to make and implement changes more efficiently, and at a quicker rate, than that of other healthcare practices.
