OSMS Adds Orthopedic Surgeon to Meet Patient Demand

Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists (OSMS), a doctor-owned orthopedic, sports medicine, rheumatology, and pain management practice, has added Dr. Peter Eggert, a Sports Medicine Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon, to its team in both Neenah and Oshkosh. With this addition, Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists (OSMS) will grow to a team of 23 orthopedic physicians specializing in and treating a wide variety of conditions in all ages.

An Appleton native, Dr. Eggert received his medical degree at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. After medical school, Dr. Eggert found his way back to Wisconsin to complete his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he then acquired his fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. During his time at UW – Madison, Dr. Eggert had the opportunity to provide medical care for the Wisconsin Badgers football team. Dr. Eggert formerly practiced at another orthopedic clinic in the Fox Valley and Oshkosh before transitioning to OSMS.

Treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions in all ages, Dr. Eggert specializes in fracture care, total joint replacements, knee and shoulder arthroscopic reconstruction, ACL reconstruction, cartilage restoration, rotator cuff repairs, and more.

Patients can expect Dr. Eggert to listen to them, present them with multiple options, and go through a shared decision-making process to determine the best option of treatment for their current situation. Getting his patients back to their physical goals is extremely important and rewarding to him.
