New Morning Coffee Roasters, a local, mid-size coffee roaster, broke ground on Wednesday to celebrate their expansion project, which is set to double the size of their current space. This project will provide New Morning with 20,000 square feet of additional warehousing and production space, including two additional loading docks and a flavoring room. The expansion not only will boost production capabilities but will provide New Morning staff with an updated break room and patio space.
“This expansion will accommodate the rapid growth that we have seen over the last few years and will give us ample room to continue with the anticipated growth that that we see in a healthy and sustainable way” mentionedPaul Wisneski, one of the three owners of New Morning Coffee Roasters. “Not only will we be able to better-serve our valued client base, but we will be able to comfortably begin to hire on more machine operators, roasters, and shipping and receiving team members once we have the additional space,” added Wisneski. The additional infrastructure will provide more space for new distributors and partners.
Consolidated Construction Co., Inc. is the design-build partner for this expansion. Additionally, they will also be the concrete, steel, and carpentry contractor for the project. “Projects like this are fun,” said Paul Ver Voort, Project Executive with Consolidated. “We get to showcase our talented design team, project teams, and each of our self-perform units. The New Morning Coffee Roasters three owners have greater than 60 years of experience in the coffee industry put together, each of them coming from larger coffee backgrounds. They created the business due to a common problem that they saw in the industry: coffee roasters in the industry would continue to grow and merge so large that they no longer valued their loyal clients that got them to that point. The three decided to join forces in2014to begin the business and address this issue, providing excellent service to customers of all sizes. Since they began their business, they have employed 15 staff members and look to continue serving their purpose, one cup of delicious coffee at a time.
