Back by popular demand – the Fox Cities Chamber Octoberfest Golf Outing will give participants a chance to raise their steins (and their golf clubs!) to raise funds and have some fun along the way.
The Octoberfest Golf Outing is designed to be a preview of what’s to come at Appleton’s Octoberfest, and is returning to High Cliff Golf and Event Center on Thursday, September 19, with a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
Last year alone, 85 nonprofits were directly impacted by funds raised at Octoberfest, and the Octoberfest Golf Outing. Participation in these events, whether as a golfer or sponsor, ensures that the Chamber can continue to support these organizations.
This year’s event, a four-person scramble, will again begin with a celebratory toast. Beer and food samples will be available along the course – golfers can get their fill of Octoberfest ales, brats, pretzels and more. It’s a taste of what’s to come at this year’s Octoberfest that will leave participants wanting more.
In addition to delicious food and drink, some holes will feature Octoberfest themed mini-games, including Outdrive A.L. Smith (the original Fox Cities Chamber founder), Closest Drive to Gunther, Stein Putting, and more. Golfers who come dressed for the theme could become a “Lederhosen Legend!” There will be prizes for the best dressed team – dress in dirndl, lederhosen, blue & white, etc. The more creative the better!
