J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue (JRAAR) is excited to announce our participation in Clear the Shelters Month, a nationwide campaign hosted by NBCUniversal Local that has helped over one million animals find loving homes since its inception in 2015.
Throughout August, JRAAR will host a series of weekly remote and virtual adoption events, fundraisers, and giveaways. The month-long celebration culminates on August 31st with Clear the Shelter Day. In lieu of charging adoption fees, we will be asking for donations to support our mission of rescuing and rehoming exotic animals.
How You Can Get Involved:
- Adopt an Animal:
Join us in finding forever homes for the exotic animals in our care. We will have special adoption events in Appleton, Wrightstown, Green Bay, and Oshkosh. Virtual Adoption Events are scheduled every Tuesday from 2-3 PM. Mark your calendars for August 31st, as we wrap up the month with our Clear the Shelter Day! This day only, in lieu of charging an adoption fee, we will be asking for a donation to help keep JRAAR afloat. To apply for waived adoption fees, starting August 24th, potential adopters can visit our website, choose an available animal, fill out an application, and if approved, make an appointment for August 31st.
