HSHS St. Vincent Hospital offers breastfeeding support group

Open to moms and pregnant women, virtually or in-person

HSHS St. Vincent Hospital is hosting a monthly breastfeeding support group for mothers and soon-to-be mothers, to prepare them and their families for breastfeeding success.

With options of attending the support group in-person or virtually, women have the opportunity to learn new ideas, share experiences and gain confidence in breastfeeding. The support group is led by a certified lactation specialist from HSHS St. Vincent Hospital’s Women and Infants Center, who will address topics including infant feeding cues; latching; milk supply; low weight gain in babies; nutrition; pumping; sore breasts; storage of breast milk; breastfeeding an adopted baby or twins; and breastfeeding and returning to work.

Whether attending in-person at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital, 835 S. Van Buren St., Green Bay, or virtually – registration for the breastfeeding support group is required and can be found at: https://www.hshs.org/st-vincent/classes-events/breastfeeding-support-group

The monthly support group is accepting new members for the following dates and times:

  • Nov. 16, 2023 ▪ 1 to 2 p.m.
  • Dec. 21, 2023 ▪ 1 to 2 p.m.
