Hoffman team once again bringing religious market insights to RCRI Conference

The experienced team of religious market experts at Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. will present two sessions at the Resource Center for Religious Institutes (RCRI) National Conference, October 1-4, in Orlando. This will be Hoffman’s 14th time presenting at RCRI over the past 16 years.

Hoffman’s first session, Juggling Complex Issues: What to Consider During Comprehensive Master Planning, will take place Wednesday, October 2 at 9:00 a.m. The session will explore where and how religious communities should begin planning for their future and will include discussions surrounding community engagement, demographics and future care needs, financing, operations, underutilized properties, and impacts to ministries. The team will also share insight and experiences from their decades of working with religious congregations across the country.

Presenters include Julie Heiberger, Hoffman senior project architect, religious market leader, and owner; Sr. Nancy Conway, CSJ, Congregation of St. Joseph and Hoffman facilitation and engagement specialist; Mike Edwin, Hoffman senior consultant – religious and senior living markets; and two Hoffman business partners.

The second session, Community and Sustainability: Navigating the Decarbonization Journey, will be held on October 2 at 2:00 p.m. Presenters Henry Hundt, Hoffman sustainability leader, and Bob Warwick, CFO for the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael, will examine the intersection of faith and environmental stewardship. The duo will share insights on how religious communities can help combat climate change. Warwick will also share the experience and lessons of the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael’s decarbonization journey.

“Our team selected these topics for RCRI this year because we’re regularly asked by religious communities, ‘where do we begin?’ not just in master planning but in becoming more sustainable as well,” shared Heiberger. “Attendees will come away with answers to their questions and actionable steps for getting started. We are so excited that RCRI has asked us back to present during their conference.”
