New e-commerce store provides community members a more convenient ReStore shopping experience while helping families find safe and affordable places to live
Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity, a leader in affordable housing solutions, is excited to announce its Appleton Habitat for Humanity ReStore location is now offering product sales online for shoppers. The website, appletonrestore.org, enables shoppers to view items online, reserve them and then stop at the store to pick up the purchased items. Additionally, a new point-of-sale system allows for Fox Cities Habitat to be more efficient overall in meeting its mission of finding everyone a decent place to live.
“We wanted to offer shoppers more ease and flexibility while also utilizing the ReStore to its full potential, which is ultimately to assist Fox Cities Habitat with additional funds to deliver its mission,” explained JD Gildemeister, Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore manager. “We hope that customers take advantage of our new e-commerce option while they are shopping for holiday gifts for loved ones or preparing for winter home updates and know that every dollar they spend with the ReStore is ensuring local families have a safe and affordable place to live.”
Using appletonrestore.org, shoppers can browse online to see what is available in the store. When customers find an item they want to purchase, they can reserve it and it will be held for them. This allows customers who may not live close to the ReStore location to still shop at the ReStore and come pick up their items at a later date. Customers can pick up their purchased items in-person at the Appleton Habitat ReStore, located at 5402 Integrity Way in Appleton (map).
Some common items often offered at the Appleton Habitat for Humanity ReStore include:
- Couches, tables, dressers and other furniture
- Flooring (tile, vinyl and carpeting)
- Building materials and tools
- Windows and doors
- Paint and paint supplies
- Refrigerators, freezers and ovens
- Cabinets, countertops, vanities, toilets, sinks and fixtures
