Funds from event will support regional nonprofits
Get ready to pedal for a cause as Fox Communities Credit Union proudly announces the inaugural Bike to the Beat – Winter Edition, an exhilarating indoor cycling event aimed at raising funds for the Fox Cares Foundation. The event, scheduled to take place on February 24th and 25th at Cycle Bar in East Appleton, promises a heart-pounding experience.
Riders can register online for four sessions held over two days, and each session can welcome 44 riders. Online registration ends Sunday, February 25th at 12 pm. The event is not just a fitness challenge; it’s a collective effort to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
Bike to the Beat – Winter Edition is a spin-off of the popular summer event. In the last seven years the event has raised $380,000 for regional nonprofit organizations. All proceeds from riders’ registration will be directed to the Fox Cares Foundation. Established in 2016, the Fox Cares Foundation is a fundraising initiative which addresses three needs that help form the basis of a physically and emotionally healthy community.
- Ending homelessness because no person should have to go without a place to call home.
- Fighting hunger because no community thrives when some go hungry.
- Providing access to the arts because expression through the arts brings beauty to the community at large.
In 2023 the foundation granted almost $150,000 to 32 regional nonprofits.
