The Fox Cities Chamber, in partnership with The Community Blood Center is hosting a blood donation drive on Wednesday, December 20 from 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Chamber office, 125 N. Superior Street in Appleton. Donations help patients at hospitals right here in the Fox Cities.
With all the activity during the holiday season, it is sometimes challenging to find the opportunity to donate blood but the need for blood never takes a holiday. In fact, the need for blood is higher during the holidays and winter than any other time of the year. Donated blood has a shelf life of 42 days and needs to be replenished constantly, and one person out of every seven walking into a hospital will need blood.
