The Fox Cities Chamber has opened up applications for both of its leadership programs: Leadership Fox Cities, for budding and aspiring Fox Cities leaders, and Leadership Fox Cities 2.0, for graduates of the first program or a similar Chamber / community leadership program.
Leadership Fox Cities
Fox Cities professionals within the Chamber’s region – defined as Calumet, Outagamie, and northern Winnebago Counties — are invited to apply for the 2023-2024 Leadership Fox Cities class. Since 1991, this Chamber program has shaped the community’s leaders with immersive educational experiences that inspire engagement.
Approximately 40 participants will be selected via the application process. Tuition assistance is available, and many employers provide professional development funds. The class gathers monthly, from September through May, for educational sessions focused on specific community topics ranging from human services and arts to government and law enforcement. The classes include prominent guest speakers, hands-on experiences, tours, and opportunities for relationship building.
Participants are also placed into small groups and are tasked with identifying an issue or program that needs attention in the community. Working collaboratively, the groups plan and execute sustainable community projects that are presented at Leadership Fox Cities Commencement in May. Applications are being accepted now through June 26, 2023. Apply online: https://form.jotform.com/231204596543152.
Leadership Fox Cities is made possible through the generous support of presenting sponsor Bergstrom Automotive.
Leadership Fox Cities 2.0
This new leadership development program is exclusively for graduates of Leadership Fox Cities (LFC) or a similar program. LFC 2.0 is an extension of the original program that takes a deeper dive into community topics, furthering participants’ knowledge and understanding of the region.
The program was developed in response to requests from past graduates of the original leadership program, which continues their learning with a deeper community immersion experience. The curriculum is not a duplication of the Leadership Fox Cities sessions, but rather an exciting extension of topics not covered in the original program.
Based on alumni feedback, the advanced leadership program will cover the following topics:
October 24, 2023: Business Day
January 23, 2024: Board Service Day
March 26, 2024: Government Day
April 23, 2024: Human Services Day
Each session will run from 8 a.m. to noon. Leadership Fox Cities 2.0 is only open to graduates of the Leadership Fox Cities program (any year) or a similar Chamber or community leadership program. Class size is limited to 20 students. Applications for the first class are being accepted now through June 26, 2023. Apply online: https://form.jotform.com/231204379198157.
