Officials at Appleton International Airport announce two new hires:
Jesse Funk is the airport’s Air Service and Business Development Manager. In this position he will be responsible for expanding the airport’s revenue sources and outreach in the community. Items under his direction include growing new destinations from ATW, airport development and all marketing efforts for the airport.
He has a travel industry career that spans over 20 years, most recently serving as a Regional Travel Manager for the University of Wisconsin System. Funk’s extensive background in the travel industry includes working for a large regional travel agency, various Wisconsin hotels and a corporate chauffeured black car service. Additionally, he has served in leadership positions with the Wisconsin chapter of the Global Business Travel Association, including a two year term as President.
Cody Gustafson is the Appleton Flight Center General Manager. In this position, he will oversee the general aviation and fueling operations at the flight center as well as direct ground handling operations on behalf of Allegiant Air.
Gustafson has worked in the transportation industry for 17 years, including positions at private flight services and commercial airlines. His has extensive experience in customer service, crew scheduling and airport operations. During his time at ATW, Gustafson was instrumental in opening the Allegiant aircraft and crew base at the airport.
The Appleton Flight Center is a fixed-base operator that provides services for general aviation, private planes, and recreational planes.
