Appleton Airport announces additional flights for Packer away games

Allegiant Airlines adding nonstop flights

Appleton International Airport announces adding nonstop flights for Packer away games provided by Allegiant Airlines. The Appleton airport is the only Wisconsin airport served by Allegiant Airlines which provides nonstop service to 12 destinations.

Allegiant is adding special event flights and adjusting its schedule for three away games. The added flights are for Nashville, Los Angeles and Jacksonville.

  • Nashville (Tennessee Titans game)
    • The original Friday, September 20th departure from Appleton to Nashville (BNA) was shifted to Saturday, September 21st with a 9:00 am departure.
    • An additional return flight was added on Monday, September 23rd. There are now flights departing Nashville (BNA) for ATW at 11:06am and 4:37pm.
  • Los Angeles (Los Angeles Rams game)
    • A 2:50 pm flight departure from Appleton to Los Angeles (LAX) was added for Friday, October 4.
    • An 8:30 am departure from LAX to ATW was added for Monday, October 7.
  • Jacksonville (Jacksonville Jaguars game)
    • A 7:30 am flight departure from Appleton to Jacksonville (JAX) was added on Friday, October 25.
    • A 12:00 pm departure from Jacksonville (JAX) to ATW was added on Monday, October 28.

“It’s clear Allegiant backs the home team,” said Appleton Airport Director Abe Weber. “This route expansion is in direct response to consumer demand for flights to away games. They say Packer fans travel well and this expansion will help more people cheer for their favorite team.”

The additional routes are considered special events and ticket costs will be slightly higher than normal Allegiant routes. Weber recommends consumers check Allegiant’s website for specific pricing.

“We are proud Allegiant selected the Appleton airport as its Wisconsin base and we’re confident these flights will get huge response from Packer nation!” Weber said.

“With more flight options, ATW has become the airport of choice for, not only the world’s greatest football fans, but for all travelers in northeast Wisconsin,” said Thomas Nelson, Outagamie County executive. “When airlines add nonstop flights to ATW, especially for specific events, our community responds. This is just another example of how vibrant our community has become and how fortunate we are to have such a thriving economic engine in ATW.”
