The Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau (FCCVB) will be hosting a community open house on May 5th in celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW). The open house will take place at the new FCCVB office and Fox Cities Visitor Center located at 213 S. Nicolet Rd., Appleton.

“We are excited to welcome the community to explore our new Visitor Center and we can’t think of a more fitting time than NTTW,” says Pam Seidl, Executive Director of the FCCVB. “Tourism has a positive impact on all residents of the Fox Cities and it’s our job to make sure our community understands how important that impact is.”

NTTW is an annual industry tradition that recognizes the value of tourism to a destination’s local economy and residents. The theme for NTTW 2022 is “The Future of Travel,” a nod to the industry’s commitment in helping facilitate economic recovery in every corner of the country.

The FCCVB community open house will have two sessions: 9:00-11:00 am and 2:00-4:00 pm. Guests will have the opportunity to learn more about the function of the FCCVB while enjoying snacks and beverages from local partners. The free, family-friendly event will also feature a drawing for an “Ultimate Fox Cities Getaway” prize package.

“Our community members will be pleasantly surprised to discover all the resources we offer here at the Visitor Center,” says Maddie Uhlenbrauck, Marketing Communications Manager. “With travel guides and brochures that cover the Fox Cites and the entire state of Wisconsin, residents and visitors alike will find plenty of information to inspire their next vacation.”
