The Boldt Company Recognized with Awards for Innovation and Sustainability

The Boldt Company was awarded a Distinguished Performer Award by the Deloitte Wisconsin 75 in the category of innovation. The innovation category recognizes a company for exceptional entrepreneurial efforts that have a positive impact on the success of the organization.

The company was recognized for quickly responding to critical heath care needs during the pandemic by creating, building, and implementing a modular solution for increasing ICU space. Together with architect HGA, Boldt developed STAATMod™, a pre-fabricated unit that could be designed, built, and shipped in less than 45 days.

STAATModTM revolutionized the idea of “speed to market” and improved quality of care and safety for COVID-19 patients, healthcare practitioners and local communities. The advances made in the STAATMod program will continue to benefit industrialized construction throughout the healthcare marketplace, accelerating the delivery of high quality, cost-competitive facilities in a fraction of the time.

“You like to feel like somebody else is noticing what you are doing,” said Boldt CEO Tom Boldt. “We have a lot of creative, hardworking and enthusiastic people who really put their heart and soul into this.  We are proud to be receiving an award that recognizes our innovation.”

The company was awarded a Business Friend of the Environment Award by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce. The award was made in the sustainability category that recognizes organizations that contribute to the long-term economic, social, and environmental well being of business and community. The goal of the award is to demonstrate to state policymakers, businesses and the public that sound environmental practices are good for Wisconsin and its business environment.

Boldt was recognized for integrating Aldo Leopold’s A Sand County Almanac into new employee on-boarding and participating in a one-on-one discussion with CEO Tom Boldt.

“We started this program as a springboard to discuss each person’s definition of business ethics,” said Tom Boldt, CEO of The Boldt Company. “One of my jobs is to create a culture where people aren’t afraid to speak up about things that are important to them, and the book is a tool that helps us define individual and organizational values.”
