COMBINED LOCKS – Kim-Com Promotions, the nonprofit that organizes the free admission Paperfest event held annually in July, announces donations of over $83,500 to 40 local charitable organizations. From Boy Scout troops and churches to fire departments and high school groups, through these various nonprofits these funds will be used to further make a positive impact on the community.

“We can’t say thank you enough” says Dr. Matthew Boots, Paperfest Director. “Thank you to all of the sponsors that help keep Paperfest a free admission event; thank you to the volunteers that gave many hours to ensure the event’s success; thank you to the bands, carnival, balloon glow, food trucks, and vendors for providing amazing entertainment for the community; and most importantly, thank you to all of those in attendance for supporting Paperfest.”

The 33rd annual Paperfest presented by Community First Credit Union and the Combined Locks Centennial Celebration was held at Memorial Park in Combined Locks this past July. The four-day free-admission community festival attracted thousands to Combined Locks to enjoy the live music on three stages, carnival rides, hot air balloon glow, fireworks display, food trucks and more. Over the event’s 33-year history, nearly one million dollars have been donated back into Northeast Wisconsin.
Paperfest organizers note the importance of community partnerships to the events success – from volunteer groups to local businesses, Paperfest is put on by the community for the community. Local nonprofit, civic, and service organizations that volunteer at Paperfest are eligible to receive donations for the hours volunteered. Interested sponsors and volunteers can contact:

A special thanks goes to the Paperfest Planning Committee. This group of volunteers meet regularly throughout the year to create a well-organize, family friendly event for which the entire community can be proud. An event of this scope could not have happened without the enthusiastic involvement, hard work, and commitment of these great volunteers, putting in countless hours behind the scenes. Individuals interested in joining the Paperfest Planning Committee can send an email to or complete an application on the Paperfest website.

The 34th annual Paperfest is scheduled for July 14-17, 2022 at Sunset Park in Kimberly, Wis.
