North Star Mohican Casino Resort raised over $14,000 for a local non-profit, Wolf River Habitat for Humanity, during their 23rd annual golf outing.

With the support of 88 participants, event sponsors, and help from volunteers, North Star is proud to announce an amount of $14,844 raised at this year’s event.

“North Star Casino Resort is proud to support such a worthy event and to have the support of so many of our vendors, employees, and even guests, was really remarkable to see,” General Manager of North Star Mohican Casino Resort, Eric McLester said.

Funds were raised through the generous donation of raffle prizes, different sponsorships, 50/50, and various hole contests. $37,328 has been raised over the last five years.

“We asked our vendors to contribute, and we were again, overwhelmed with their turnout of support,” McLester said.

Next year, North Star hopes to send employees to help build a house in addition to their financial contribution.

“We have a wealth of talent and experience with our dedicated employees, and we plan to create a working team of volunteers that will be on the job site helping to fulfil a family’s dream to move into a new home,” McLester said.

The golf outing was hosted at Pine Hills Golf Course located in Gresham, Wisconsin.
