APPLETON, Wis. (March 16, 2021) – Appleton Airport is looking forward to hosting its upcoming TSA PreCheck™ enrollment event on April 19-23, 2021. TSA PreCheck is a program that enables enrolled travelers to go through an expedited security screening process when traveling. Registration for the 10-minute, in-person enrollment is now open for the community.

“As COVID-19 vaccinations continue to rise, we anticipate an increase in domestic and international flights,” says Abe Weber, airport director. “This program gives eligible travelers an improved experience while going through security - no need to remove shoes, laptops, 3-1-1-liquids, light jackets or belts when being screened.”

At airports across the country, people can “Travel with Ease” and experience a smoother screening process and have access to more than the 450 lanes at over 200 airports across the United States. Once screening and payment are completed, the TSA PreCheck certification will last for five years.

When attending the appointment, applicants must bring proof of identity and U.S. citizenship. This can either be through a current U.S. passport or through a driver’s license and a copy of their birth certificate. The enrollment process must be completed in person in order for the proper paperwork and fingerprints to be collected. The application fee is $85 and can be paid at the enrollment appointment with either a credit card, money order, company check or certified/cashier’s check. Cash or personal checks are not accepted.

While Appleton Airport encourages pre-registration, walk-ins are welcome and will be accommodated around scheduled appointment times. Those participating in the event can park for free in short-term parking. Enrollment will be held in the airport’s conference room nearby the baggage claim.
