Neenah, WI — Essity, a leading global hygiene and health company with more than 900 employees between its Menasha mill and Neenah converting facility as well as its Service Excellence Center (SEC), today announced that it has raised just over $5,100 for The Fox Cities Salvation Army. Essity’s employees contributed to the organization during a six-week fundraising campaign, with Essity matching employee donations dollar for dollar.

“Essity and our employees continue to recognize the broad-reaching effects of COVID-19 on our nation, with many people facing a daily struggle to keep their families fed,” said Rob Harvey, Essity Site Manager at the Neenah and Menasha facilities. “As a company, Essity is committed to supporting the communities where our employees live and work. Our employees had a strong desire to help people in their neighborhoods obtain increased access to food. The generosity and caring they’ve shown during this challenging time is truly heartfelt.”

Rebecca Stanonik, Human Resources Manager at Essity’s Service Excellence Center, notes that, “We are especially grateful for the generosity of the team members at our Service Excellence Center, who generously contributed to the Salvation Army in our region.”
Essity employees were able to designate a postal code for each individual contribution, ensuring that every donation would have local and personal impact. The funds raised by Essity’s Neenah and Menasha employees will go directly to support the regional efforts of the Fox Cities Salvation Army, located in Appleton. The fundraising campaign was launched on December 15, 2020 and concluded January 31, 2021.
According to The Salvation Army, each night in the United States, 17.4 million families go to bed hungry and an additional 6.9 million families live on the verge of food insecurity.
