Community First Credit Union has promoted Angela Gargo to Vice President of Talent Management and welcomed Rochelle Blindauer as the new Vice President of Human Resources.

Gargo, who joined Community First in 2011 as Human Resources Generalist/Benefits Specialist, became an HR manager in 2019 and was promoted to Assistant VP in early 2020. She has been instrumental in recruiting talent for the organization while helping employees through their career journey. Her new role will focus on employee onboarding experiences, performance management, rewards and recognition, as well as diversity, equity and inclusion.

"Angela will play a key role in helping our team members reach their career goals while helping us to continue to build a rewarding workplace culture and employee experience,” said Chief Human Resources Officer Kristy Hesse.

Blindauer will lead the team’s daily operations, including talent acquisition and retention, payroll, benefits, compensation and employee relations.

A 15-year human resources industry executive, she most recently served as Senior Vice President of Employee Experience with AIA Corp., an Appleton-based marketing franchise distributor. Other past experience includes roles as Human Resources Director at Lawrence University and City of Manitowoc, and as Human Resources/Compensation Manager with Festival Foods.

“Rochelle is incredibly talented,” said Hesse. “Her background in delivering thoughtful employee experiences and total rewards – compensation and benefits – is just right for us.”
