Fox Communities Credit Union has been a drop-off location for Coats for Kids for almost two decades, but with the recent pandemic, we want to make sure that coat collection this year is safe for all. Fox, along with the local Salvation Army locations, WBAY-TV and Woodward Radio Group are presenting a new drive-up, coat drop-off event on Saturday, September 26th from 8am-11am to bring warm coats to children throughout Northeast Wisconsin. This event will be safe with little to no face-to-face contact. With help from organizations like Fox Communities, Coats for Kids has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and thousands of new and like-new coats to area children since its foundation. This year should not be any different.
There will be four drop-off coat collection locations in the parking lots of: The Fox Cities Stadium -Appleton, Resch Center –Green Bay, Manitowoc Youth Sports Complex in Citizen Park-Manitowoc and the Clintonville High School.
“We consider Coats for Kids to be an undertaking by the whole community,” states Heather Wessley, Community Engagement Manager with Fox Communities Credit Union. “As always, we rely greatly on donations – both monetary and physical – as well as the support of our community volunteer and partners. A donation of any amount is helpful and is greatly appreciated. In fact, as little as $20 buys a new coat for a child who would otherwise go without.”
