The Fox Valley Workforce Development Board, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit based in Neenah with a focus on workforce training and job search strategies, has announced two temporary job center closures and the postponement of two spring job fairs.
The Waupaca Job Center at 1979 Godfrey Drive and the Wautoma Job Center at 556 South Cambridge Street, both inside campuses of Fox Valley Technical College, will close immediately and remain closed throughout FVTC’s two-week spring break. The centers are expected to re-open the week of March 30. The latest on job center hours, including centers that remain open and fully staffed, can be found at foxvalleyjobcenters.com.
In light of the continued concern over the COVID-19 virus and the governor’s request to cancel events of more than 250 people, the FVWDB has made the decision to postpone the May 13 Berlin Job Fair at Berlin High School and the May 19 Oshkosh Job Fair at the Menominee Nation Arena. 2
We encourage local employers to post jobs and recruit talent at jobcenterofwisconsin.com and similarly encourage job seekers to register and look for jobs at that website. The FVWDB will continue to evaluate our ability to host upcoming job fairs in these communities once the health risk has lessened.
An announcement about the Fond du Lac Job Fair on April 9 at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds is expected next week.
