This Inaugural Community-Wide Volunteer Fair Takes Place at the Oshkosh Convention Center

Published Monday, February 24, 2020

Are you looking for a way to give back to your community, but you just don’t know where to start? Start here! Come enjoy light refreshments in a relaxed setting while chatting with representatives from over 40 local nonprofits. This event is free and open to the public.

VolunteerFEST Oshkosh is presented by Volunteer Fox Cities, a regional organization that is focused on connecting volunteers with the cause they care about. Brad Creighton, who is responsible for community engagement and events at Volunteer Fox Cities,  says that the event is meant for people to come and have some fun while learning more about the nonprofits in their community. They can also sign up to become a volunteer or fill out an application on the spot. “After the great success that we have experienced with the annual VolunteerFEST in Menasha, we are excited to bring this event to the Oshkosh area,” Creighton said. “There are volunteer fairs for schools and businesses, but most of them are not open to the public. VolunteerFEST is open to everyone, regardless of age or affiliation, it really is a great way to come learn more about giving back to your community.”
