Certification Categories

The Employee Friendly Workplace certification is designed as a tool to assist employers on their path to adopting more employee friendly workplace policies and practices. The certification is open to all employers with operations located in the Fox Cites (Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago Counties). The comprehensive benefit criteria incorporated into the application is intended to be attainable as well as aspirational for employers of any size across all industry sectors. 

Certification levels are determined by the organization's ratings in four categories:

 

PAID LEAVE & FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULES

Employee paid leave and schedule flexibility to meet the needs of work and life demands
including; vacation, illness and family illness, healthcare appointments; family care
& other family commitments.

 

HEALTH & WELLNESS SUPPORT

Employer sponsored healthcare benefits and wellness programs to support and improve
the well-being of the employee and the employee’s family.

 

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Employer sponsored benefits and programs that support the overall financial wellness of
the employee for the goal of work-life integration.

 

PERKS

Employer offered discretionary benefits often perceived as “unique” incentives.

 

 

Certification Process 

  1. Employer assesses benefit offerings and readiness for certification by reviewing criteria/application. Reflecting on company culture may be helpful with the process. 
  2. Schedule time with EFW engagement specialist to discuss any questions regarding the process, application and/or specific criteria.
  3. Complete the online application with $250 application fee.
  4. Application review times vary based on follow up. However, one to two weeks is the goal. 
  5. Certification awarded (media kit included).
