Valley Transit announces $2,500 sign-on bonus for Part-time Utility Workers

New hiring incentive follows bonus for bus driver positions

Valley Transit, the public transportation service in the Fox Cities, is offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus for applicants with a commercial driver’s license (CDL) to fill the role of Utility Worker.

Utility Workers at Valley Transit help to maintain the fleet of buses through job functions like fueling, checking fluid levels and cleaning the vehicles. This role requires a valid Class B CDL with the P endorsement.

“Our utility workers help us ensure our buses are operating efficiently and that those we serve will enjoy a clean bus on every ride,” said Valley Transit general manager Ron McDonald.

This incentive is part of Valley Transit’s ongoing efforts to recruit qualified and skilled employees to serve the Fox Cities community. Bus driver applicants with a CDL can also qualify for up to $5,000 in sign-on bonuses.

“Having qualified and skilled employees is crucial to providing the best possible service to our community. These bonuses not only attract top talent, but also ensure that we can quickly fill roles and meet the transportation needs of those in the Fox Cities,” said McDonald.
