The Fox Cities Chamber’s Connect Free membership program for small businesses is featured in the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) new Revenue Models Resource Guide. The national guide examines chamber dues structures and non-dues revenue streams, highlighting the latest trends and data, sharing Chamber case studies from around the country, and offering practical tools to help organizations explore revenue opportunities.
“Launching Connect Free last year reaffirmed our commitment to small businesses and our local economy in an unprecedented way,” said Chamber President & CEO Becky Bartoszek. “Now, to have it recognized nationally as a best practice, reinforces the value of the program for small businesses in the Fox Cities and the impact on our local economy.”
The Fox Cities Chamber launched Connect Free in August of last year and was the first Chamber in the state of Wisconsin to offer a free membership level. Small businesses who qualify for are those with five or fewer full-time employees (or equivalent), nonprofits with 10 or fewer employees, and freestanding restaurants. Businesses must be located in the Chamber’s service area of Outagamie, Calumet or northern Winnebago County.
Connect Free membership offers small business owners several benefits, including opportunities to connect with other businesses in the Fox Cities, educational programs specifically targeted to small business, marketing opportunities, a listing in the Chamber’s online directory, discounted business services from the US Chamber, a complimentary subscription to The Business News, and more.
