Please join us for a public involvement meeting to discuss the WIS 125, College Avenue structure replacement between I-41 and Bluemound Drive, located in the town of Grand Chute, Outagamie County.

The meeting is scheduled for February 28, 2023, starting at 10 a.m. at the American Legion Post 38, 3220 West College Avenue, Appleton, 54914. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with

an open house format for questions to follow. Members of the project team will be available to address your questions and concerns regarding the project.

The purpose of this project is to address the deteriorated structure due to significant cracking in the ceiling and walls and its walls have begun to bow causing safety concerns.

The proposed improvements include the following:

  • Replace the existing box culvert over Mud Creek with a new bridge structure

Construction is currently scheduled for August 2023 through October 2023. WIS 125 will be closed to traffic during construction between I-41 and N. Westhill Blvd. Traffic can utilize the following routes:

  • Signed detour that follows County A (Lynndale Drive), County OO (Northland Avenue), and I-41
  • Alternate route for I-41 traffic heading north utilizes WIS 441 northbound and WIS 47 northbound
  • Local non-truck traffic may be utilizing local road networks

The objective of this meeting is to provide an update about the proposed improvements, construction schedule and traffic impacts.
