ATCAM was founded in 1993 by Peter and Steve Andres, the brothers had a clear goal in mind – to open a Thermal Spray coating and Machine shop that provided truly cost-effective solutions to industry needs. Following the lead of their father Dave Andres, one of the founders of Fox Valley Tool & Die, Inc., the brothers decided to capitalize on their joint experience to provide just such a service.
As a former customer service manager at Miller Thermal Inc., Peter had an intimate knowledge of the thermal spray coating process and customer service. Having worked with his father at Fox Valley Tool & Die, Steve brought a wealth of machining experience to the new business. ATCAM experienced rapid growth and expanded from its original 5,000 sq. ft. facility to 10,000 sq. ft. in 1995 then onto 20,000 sq. ft. in 1998.
Steve left ATCAM in 2001 to open his own company, at which time long-time employee Michael Bultman (Vice President) became a partner and remains with ATCAM today. Peter expanded the facility to 35,000 sq. ft. in 2011. ATCAM also expanded its thermal coating line and machining capabilities. ATCAM added large and small CNC machining, as well as a robotic thermal coating cell and additional top coating services including
Teflon, silicone release and powder coatings. ATCAM is continually expanding its products and services and is proud to support the diverse needs of OEM’s, Paper Companies, Mechanical Contractors, and Defense Contractors throughout the country.
On October 1, 2023, ATCAM’s leadership torch was passed onto Nate Andres. As President, Nate revamped the logo and updated the look for the company. He continues to explore new possibilities for modernized machining equipment, thermal spraying, and surface technology while staying true to ATCAM’s roots as a locally owned and operated company. ATCAM is located in the Little Chute, Wisconsin, industrial park and strongly believes in giving back to the local communities which have supported the company throughout the years.
ATCAM’s team of experienced professionals and modern equipment and facilities are 100% dedicated to meeting the needs of customers. By combining state-of-the-art equipment and technology with old fashioned craftsmanship, ATCAM meets the diverse production needs of a variety of industries. As today’s businesses place a greater emphasis on reducing operating costs and improving profitability, the experienced professionals at ATCAM stand ready to meet the challenge with thermal spray coating and machining capabilities.
ATCAM’s dedicated employees are committed to finding the best manufacturing solutions for their customer base. Whether your company requires the fabrication of new components or the rebuilding/refinishing of existing parts, ATCAM can provide high quality, cost-effective, precision products and services.
Looking to the future, ATCAM is pleased to announce a new 30,000 sq. ft. expansion which is slated to be complete in mid-2024. This will double the manufacturing space and will revamp and add additional office/meeting space. As we break ground on our latest expansion, we express our thanks to ATCAM’s founders, employees, and customers who have made these modern facilities possible. Our success today is due to their hard work and dedication over the years.
