Jeffrey Sachse, of Manitowoc, has been named interim director of the Center for Customized Research and Services (CCRS) at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Sachse will be responsible for leading the center as well as providing research and development support to University economic development programs and initiatives.

He previously served as the director of the Office of Economic Advisors at the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and in several economic and workforce development roles in northeastern and southeastern Wisconsin. Sachse also serves on the boards of Two Rivers Main Street and the Wisconsin Downtown Action Council.

The CCRS carries forward UW Oshkosh’s long history of programs that connect University faculty and student resources to businesses and organizations in the broader region to drive economic growth, said Elizabeth Hartman, UWO executive director of economic development and community relations.

These efforts at UWO began with the Koehn Institute in the 1980s and later the Center for Community Partnerships and the Business Success Center.

“We have taken the opportunity to evaluate the needs of the market so that we understand the types of programming and services businesses and organizations want from the University,” Hartman said.

“We learned that there is high demand for the specialized expertise of faculty and staff, engagement of students and the customization of programs,” she said. “We have built the CCRS to address this demand so that we ensure we are providing the most relevant and forward-thinking resources and services to meet the emerging needs of the region.”

CCRS offers survey and market research services through the Survey Research Center, customized training design and delivery, consulting, data analytics, and event and partnership support. CCRS enjoys an extensive portfolio of business and faculty relationships throughout the region and prides itself on providing innovative and tailored solutions.
